🧠 Role Overview

As a Linux + VoIP Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining mission-critical voice infrastructure systems. These systems support customer-facing services and require high availability, strong security, and continuous monitoring.

You will work closely with the Infrastructure team while maintaining the ability to operate independently in a remote environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

🖥️ Linux Systems Administration

Build, configure, and maintain Linux-based infrastructure
Ensure system stability, uptime, and performance
Manage patching, updates, backups, and system security
Monitor system health and proactively resolve issues

📞 VoIP & SIP Infrastructure Management

Administer VoIP platforms such as:
- FreeSWITCH
- Asterisk
- Kamailio
- OpenSIPS
Troubleshoot SIP signaling and RTP media issues
Analyze call flow, routing, and registrations
Resolve production issues related to voice services

🔍 Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

Diagnose complex technical issues across systems
Identify root causes and implement long-term fixes
Work across multiple environments (production, staging, lab, development)

⚙️ Automation & Scripting

Develop shell scripts for:
- Automation
- Monitoring
- Operational safety
Improve workflows and reduce manual interventions

🔐 Security & Compliance

Maintain infrastructure aligned with:

Implement best practices for access control and system hardening

🎯 Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

🧩 Experience

Minimum 3+ years of Linux Systems Administration in a 24/7 production environment
Minimum 3+ years of VoIP engineering experience
Hands-on experience with SIP, RTP, and call flow troubleshooting

🛠️ Technical Skills

Strong command of Linux operating systems
Experience with VoIP platforms such as:
- FreeSWITCH
- Asterisk
- Kamailio / OpenSIPS
Solid understanding of:
- SIP signaling
- RTP media streams
- Call routing and registrations

Proficiency in shell scripting
